John Raymond is a jazz trumpeter, composer and educator living in New York City.

Recently selected by Downbeat Magazine's Critics Poll for the Trumpet "Rising Star" category, John has collaborated with musicians such as Billy Hart, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Orrin Evans, Linda Oh, Ethan Iverson, Dan Tepfer and Gilad Hekselman among others. John's latest album "Real Feels" was released to critical acclaim from the New York Times, Downbeat Magazine and others, and was celebrated with a 24-city CD release tour around the USA and Canada in early 2016.

John was a recipient of the 2015 Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer award presented by ASCAP. John is also a devoted educator, teaching at the United Nations International School and as an active guest artist and clinician at high schools and universities around the world.
